- Andrew Armitage Review added: 2018.03.06★ ★ ★ ★ ★We booked two rooms for two nights at the Malthouse so we could take the kids to Alton Towers theme and water parks. The Malthouse is a family-run bed and breakfast, and we had most contact with the daughter of the family, Melissa. The family have clearly been running the B&B for many years, as the operation runs like a well oiled machine. Every need was met, from the picky breakfast choices of the children, to a supply of washing liquid to clean baby clothes. The family were warm, welcoming and genuine. They clearly operate on a model of repeat business! I would strongly recommend this B&B to anyone looking to stay close to Alton Towers, or in Alton village.
